TECHNICAL INFORMATION
 

You will require an FTP program to upload your file.

PC users require WSFTP Pro 8
MAC users require: Fetch

Once installed, see third picture below on how to upload your files.

Notification Requirements:

You MUST send an e-mail notifying us that you have uploaded your ad to the appropriate folder on our FTP site.

Please send your e-mail to this address:production@goodlifeconnoisseur.com

We require the following information detailed in your e-mail:

  • Name of Advertiser
  • Folder name that the file has been place in
  • Name of file
  • Contact information if there are technical issues with your ad

 

DISCLAIMER:

It is the responsibility of the Advertiser (or their advertising agency) to send this notification. We will not be held responsible for the production or placement or your ad, if you have failed to do so.

We reserve the right to refuse any advertisment that we deem not suitable, for any reason.

Special Notes on how to use the FTP site:

1. Please do not login as an "anonymous" user, you will not gain access to the site.

2. Before you upload please be sure the file you are transfering has a recognizable name. The example below will not be recognizable.

You can either rename your file or insert it into a folder in your company name, as below.

NOTE:

All images and ads must be in high resolution 300 dpi in CMKY, in one of the following formats: .jpg, .tiff, .eps or .pdf. Please do not send word documents, power point or any other non imaged based files, as we cannot work with them. If you are sending completed ads, please be certain your images and copy are inside the "Live Area" of 8.75 " x 9.875 ".".

DIGITAL ONLINE VERSION OF THE MAGAZINE:

 

Please note when building your single page display ads, that for your weblinks and e-mail address to function, pages should be built in InDesign. Place the image in the background, and then add the text on top of it. When exporting the PDF from InDesign, vector type will remain crisp and sharp, and your links will be live.

 

If produced in Photoshop or similar software, the links will not be activated, as the image becomes flat.

*Use Live Area measurements for non-bleed ads. On bleed ads all important information and graphics must be in-side these measurements, to assure no information is lost at the trimming stage. Your advertisment should be sized to approximately 9.75 " x 11.375" Vertical 2925 x 3450 pixels (300dpi), CMYK and saved as .jpg, .tiff, .eps or .pdf. Please imbed fonts in all submitted ads (fonts must be turned into outline).

 

 

SPECIAL NOTE

1. If you are participating in a 2 page INTERVIEW or 4 page FEATURE, please fill out the Questionnaire, found on home page. A writer will be in touch with you to do a phone interview on the day you have specified.

2. All material must be prepared prior to submitting. If you require assistance creating an Ad, Graphics, Photos or Copy, please let us know and we can make other arrangements for you.

3. We require your high resolution (300 DPI) Ad, Images & Logo, to be uploaded to our FTP site, Technical Information is found on home page, also please read requirements above.

4. If you would like copies of the Magazine (in increments of 100), they MUST be ordered prior to Printing.

5. Reprints (Company Brochures) can be ordered anytime, in increments of 1000.

6. All materials are due 2 weeks prior to print date. Late comers will be "priority placed" in the following issue.

7. Payment must be received prior to printing or there is no guarantee of inclusion in the publication.

8. If you are paying by Credit Card, your statement will reflect billing from Synergy CMC (our Marketing Division).

9. We reserve the right to decline any order for any reason.
